100% salary sacrifice - how to pay to super fund?

Hi there!

I've setup a new employee who is 100% salary sacrificing their wage. I've got all the necessary allocations in place, however I'm about to complete the first payrun with them included and noticed the whole amount isn't showing as going to super, including the salary sacrifice deduction compontent.

Does Super Stream pick up these deductions for you, and pay to the employee's super fund, or do I need to pay the salary sacrifice component separately and log it in the 'payroll deductions' account so it matches up with that run?

Many thanks,

Alex

  • Hi Alex_Int

Thanks for your post. The salary sacrifice amount should be listed in the Create super payment window to be included in the super payment.

If it's not listed in that window I'd recommend checking the salary sacrifice pay item has been set up as per the instructions in this Help Article: Setting up salary sacrifice superannuation
