New starter shouldn't be included in current payrun

Hi Payroll

 

We have a new starter (started Monday 10/6/24) and we do the payrun on a Tuesday. Even though his start date is listed as 10/6/24 he is showing up in the payrun when he hasn't worked the pay period.  Do I just untick him or should I not put his start date on until after the payrun?

    Thanks for posting. If the new employee is showing up in the payrun but hasn't worked the pay period, you can simply untick him for this cycle. His start date doesn't need to be changed. Just remember to include him in the next payrun after he's started working. Feel free to post again if you need further help. We're happy to assist.
