Job Transactions Report - No Memo for Spend Money Transactions

Hi,

 

I've noticed that when generating a "Job Transactions Report" in MYOB business, the description does not feed through to the "memo" column of the report for "Spend Money" transactions. I have attached a screen shot for reference. 

 

I note that it works for "Receive Money" transactions.

 

I tried adding other columns to the report also, however none show the description of the trasaction.

 

I tested multiple files and had the same issue on each file.

 

Can you please advise how I can fix this.

    This is still broke 8 months later and the suggested work-around in the help file is to use the Jobs Activity report, however that appears to have a different bug if you have more than one line item in a spend-money report, then it only reports the first line.

     

    How MyOB can justify having such bugs for so long is beyond me.  Luckily I caught this issue before sending an invoice to the customer.

    This problem still remains, I have to do an excel vlookup function everytime to match my job transactions to the memo. I want to be able to see the memo in job transactions (accrual) report.

    I hear you, it must be such time consuming having to track down the memo manually.

    Princess_R​ I guess that sums up how MyOB thinks about users with belittling statements like that.  No apologies for this issue that has existed for 2+ years and then just a flippant it-must-be-so-hard reply.

    I apologize for the delayed response. We are aware of the issue regarding the memo field in Spend Money transactions appearing blank in the Job Transaction (accrual) Report. This matter has been brought to our development team's attention, and they are actively working on incorporating this feature in future updates. While we don't have a specific timeframe for its implementation, please be assured that the team is actively engaged in resolving this issue.

    I hear you, it must be such time consuming having to track down the memo manually. Thanks for sharing how you’ve been handling it so far, kudos to you for making it work. You're right, it seems this feature still hasn’t made its way in yet. That said, we’d absolutely love for you to pop this as a suggestion on our new Ideas board. Let's get other users to vote on it and shape the updates together.

  • Eric2022​ I know, I did some programming a long time ago and it seems to be that its just a broken pointer that is referencing something else, it should be a quick fix from their end.

  • I really need this I have got in a total mess trying to do XLOOKUPS from a separate Job transactions details on the next excel tab & pulling the memo through to the accrual report. I understand the formulas, but they don't work consistently .... something to do with formatting between the 2 reports ..... Have spent hours & hours on this & not succeeded. all beyond me. I just need the allocation memo to show in the Accrual report
