  • Hi trishd

Thanks for your post and welcome to the Community Forum.

If the items register shows a different quantity on hand than the Items Register detail report. You must refresh this transaction not appearing in the Item Register report. Also, refresh the transaction by adding full stop to the memo and clicking Ok.

This error can be fixed by changing details for one of the transactions to force a refresh.

    Hi Cel

all the items are the same in both reports. and i have done the refresh and still different totals.

Does this mean I have to go through all items until I see what item is the issue.  i have just tried again and the items register is still different from the report but now a different amount.

Hi Trishd , that's OK, multiple locations do cause an issue with the item register detail report, with symptoms similar to what you described.

    Hi Trishd

Further to comments by Mike_James , I can't see the dates you are using or what report you are generating, however if using the Items Register Detail report, one of the many glitches is that the running balance varies depending on the report start date. From experience it only gives the correct figures is not using locations AND when the start date is either the beginning of the current FY, or beginning of the file (conversion date). Try both.

    Regards

    Gavin
