Thanks Gavin,
I really appreciate your response & have quite a few questions after my recent return to MYOB has left me rather at a loss...
I haven't used MOYB software for a few years now however it appears to me that alot of functionality that used to be here has vanished. For example the ability to customise forms has been GREATLY diminished since I Iast used the software & now it appears something as simple as line returns in a multiline text field is unachievable.
So I am in the transport inudstry, specialising in longhaul car carrying, I need to be able to add the make, model, VIN/Rego, pick-up & delivery locations to each job when charged. I want to import all this info straight out of the bookings system to save hours in double entry. I have set up item sales with lane codes such as MLB-CAI (i.e. Melbourne-Cairns) but need the ability to show the customer which vehicle it is.
Am I also correct in thinking we can't actually customise item sales invoice anymore (AccountRight cloud version), except for changing a couple of superficial header settings?! The default layout is poor at least & I don't need columns such as selling unit of measure & discount taking up precious real estate I could be using for line item descriptions.
Surely I can't be the only one that wants to add multiline sales specific information to an invoice appearing on separate lines?!
Any & all suggestions greatly appreciated...
PS. So upon searching for numerous hours I noticed that some of the missing functionality has been monetorised by 3rd party companies that have affiliations with MYOB or appear to be ex-MYOB employees (e.g. custom invoices for $250 per form, import software to "bridge" between export/imoport files, etc.). After reading the massive volume of complaints here & finding an ability to do things that I know used to be available in the software, I'm starting think perhaps I've made a bad choice coming back to MYOB. Any long term users out there that can tell me if functionality has diminished in past 5-7 years?
