STP PHASE 2

Since STP phase 2 has launched, now when I go to report payroll, I get 'something went wrong, or when I go to Payroll Reporting via software, it makes me login to web browser.   I have spent hours trying to get through to MYOB support, and this morning, after an hours wait, I am told that 'this is the new norm' when reporting payroll. as the tax office requires it. Apparently it is for security purposes, yet my other company (also on STP2) allows me to report direct via software.  Thoughts??

Thanks for your post. In STP Phase 2 the STP reporting centre opens in a browser, this is due to changes in ATO security requirements and how the software now needs to connect to the ATO. However, you can still process and declare pay runs as normal from the desktop software.

For the file that you're getting the 'Something went wrong' error, are you trying to transition to Phase 2 or have you already transitioned? Can you provide a screenshot of the diagnostic log: AccountRight log locations

Thanks Tracey.   We have transitioned to STP Phase 2.  I did a pay run this morning, and it allowed me to report via desktop software, the first time in months!!   I am giving it a few hours and then will check to see if it has been submitted okay.  Prior to today, it wouldn't let me declare through desktop.  Will see how it goes.  Still have to log in to browser for Payroll Reporting Centre.
