Transfer Leave Entitlements to different category

 

Our company currently on a 38 hour week, but we are moving to a 37.5 hours week.  Current AL accrual entitlements are set up for 38 hours.  I have created an Payroll Category for AL 37.5 hour per week I think i will need to transfer all current accrued hours from the 38 hour category to the 37.5 hour.  Am i on the right track here?

    Good on you for being so proactive in setting up that new Payroll Category for the 37.5-hour workweek. When it comes to transferring those accrued annual leave hours from the 38-hour category, it’s always best to have a chat with your accountant. They’ll be the experts in guiding you on whether transferring the current balance is the way to go and what’s best for your team.

    Thank you Doreen.  Absolutely agree with your advice on seeking our accountant advice.  There will be a benefit to our staff as minute as it is for those that have accrued leave for the 38 hour week. The question i guess is i want to ensure is the continued accrual for a 37.5 hour week will be added to the already accrued 38 hour. And is this done by the transferring of the accrued hours to the new category? 

    I guess alternatively, the 38 hour a week accrued remains and our team will see another annual leave line on their payslip for 37.5 hours?
