Moving MYOB (AccountEdge Pro 2016) to another computer

I have essentially the same question for moving to a new Windows machine. I have AccountEdge 2016, V25 build 20.0 16A which I understand is no longer supported. The online help says that I have to deactivate it on my current machine before I can activate a copy on my new machine, but if I do that and then find out I can't activate it on my new machine and also can't reactivate it on my old machine, I'll be completely locked out from my data. Can you tell me if there is some way to reactivate it on my Windows 10 machine if it winds up not working on my new Windows 11 machine?

    Hi mds1​,

     

    Good call checking in first. Yes, you’ll need to deactivate it to free up your license, so you can re-register it on the new computer. Before you move to a new Windows PC, just make sure it meets the system requirements for AccountEdge Pro. Totally get the lockout worry, but you’re fine, you can always move and reactivate it back on your Windows 10 machine if you need to.
