End of MYOB v19 & earlier versions

Hi, I have a couple of clients with very small business that have been using older versions of MYOB for many years. They have paid for the licenses of these programs. They are not happy at all about having to pay to upgrade their files to newer online versions of MYOB. Why can they not keep using their old versions. I know you're saying there is no support for older versions but we don't need support for the old programs, we just want to keep using them. Their business are only small so having to pay a monthly/annual fee to use MYOB is not an option. Please advise if we definitely can't use these older versions after February 2026 as we will have to look at other options for these clients.

How can you find out what date is your confirmation date?

    hello Mike_MYOB

Further to the above, Could you please advise how customers can determine when their next confirmation is due?

Is there a way for us to view the confirmation expiry date within the company file, or can MYOB confirm this upon request?

For example, if a file’s next confirmation date is 20 November 2026, does that mean the file would remain fully operational until that date and only become read-only when confirmation is required after that point?

Also, can you confirm whether confirmations are typically required once per year, or can they occur more frequently depending on the licence or file?

Understanding this timing is important for planning and assessing the practical impact of the decommissioning.

    Hi NC1231

    This piece is correct:

You will still be able to add data to your file until the next confirmation date.

These confirmations are usually within a 30-90 day range for our legacy software.

The next confirmation date doesnt show in the software itself for you and MYOB will be unable to provide this to you as we do not support this software.

Hi Fermax , these versions have been fully decommissioned and have been unsupported for many years. Because the product has reached its end-of-life, MYOB is unable to provide support, updates, or reimbursements for any issues related to its continued use.

While we cannot reimburse costs for this unsupported software, we can help you transition to a modern, fully supported MYOB solution that is secure and compliant with current regulations. You can view our plans and pricing here or create a migration request here
