Using the whole area in the notes area in card details.

The Card Details>> Notes section of an employee's card does have a character limit of 255 characters. There is no direct way to increase that character limit for that field, however, I notice that file is online. So, depending on what you need to keep in that Notes field, you could look at using the Attachments function to attach documents or images that may represent those older notes.
