Financial reports showing catogories - Account Right

The category reports designed to show the amounts per individual category. For example, if you have Category#1 and Category#2, you would be able to run a Profit and Loss for Category#1 and then a Profit and Loss for Category#2.
To directly your answer your question running the Category Profit & Loss report will show that information as it will show the Total Profit & Loss for Category A then on the same report show a Total Profit & Loss for Category B. Note: The total is the Total Profit & Loss for the category for the financial year, not the overall lifetime category amounts.
