MYOB base currency

We have a company that trades in USD so need to be able to keep the records in USD as opposed to AUD. Is this available?

  • Hi MichelleS_ECO,

Totally understand why you'd want everything running in USD if that's the currency you're dealing with most. Makes things feel a bit more straightforward. It doesn't support having the whole file or reports set in USD. Everything still needs to stay in AUD or NZD as the base currency. But the good news is you can record transactions in USD, like invoices, bills, and payments, and it will handle the conversion for you. For a bit more detail and a guide on how it all works, here's a handy link you can check out: Working with multiple currencies.

    Regards,

    Sai

Hi MichelleS_ECO , the home currencies (AUD, NZD) cannot be edited like they used to be, which allowed people to label AUD/NZD as USD. So your next best option is to just use this company file in AUD without turning on currencies, and treat all reports as USD. Another option if currencies are already enabled is to set a rate of 1 for the USD, then you will see USD on reports.
