MYOB Business API and using MYOB Business web version vs MYOB AccountRight

Hi Everyone

 

I have come across a customer who is using MYOB Business that we are importing Service Bills into their dataset.

We have become aware that there are some differences between the two platforms. When we try to edit the bill they get the message :

"This bill is read only because it contains unsupported features. Switch to AccountRight desktop to edit this bill"

They obviously do not have access to the desktop version because of their subscription, so this is not an option for them unless they upgrade their subscription.

I had a look through the various Bill types within the API list and we are importing the Bill type Service so that is not the issue.  We are not including a freight amount, so I do not think it is that.  So I am lost on what changes I can make to the code to make it so that the Bills can be edited within the web version.  I have also noted that when we review supplier bills in the app that they are read only whilst similarly imported customer invoices within apps seem to be editable.

Can someone please advise what elements can be changed or what I can look for to fix up the incompatibility issue.

    Hi DavidDNCS​ , afaik the API is the same for both products. In the past MYOB has suggested on this forum: "if the error occurs (when creating a new invoice or deleting an invoice), please do try to reset the default setting by going to  Sales/Purchase Settings → Layout Hit save on the layout selection and the setting will be updated". (The existing layout selection will probably be Services).
