2023 Occupation Codes
Occupation code for Electrician - General is not coming up in MYOB AO yet it is on the current ATO occupation list. Please advise.

OK MYOB, can you tell me another tax software provider that is having these occupation code issues? I have googled and it doesn't seem to be an issue for anyone else apart from MYOB tax !!! This is definitely a MYOB issue not an ATO issue. The ATO would NOT delete Electrician from their occupation code list. That is ludicrus !
I have had occupation code issues in other providers(0) as well. Codes that worked in prior years are suddenly not validating and can't be found in the search function. It's how I found this post a couple weeks ago and why I didn't bother making a post on their forums.
You can try and use the ATO website to find an appropriate alternative.
Of course the ATO PLS occupation code list appears to be hidden behind a login screen.
Stuart7111 has a decent workaround, use code "899914 Labourer - electrical" and change the display text.
