The preferences in banking for auto approving bank transactions is unchecked but MYOB is still auto approving settlements from ANZ worldwide transactions (credit cards processed the previous day).

Thanks for raising this. What you’re seeing is expected for ANZ settlement transactions.
Those ANZ Worldwide Transactions settlement lines can still be automatically matched by MYOB, even if the auto-approve preference looks turned off. That’s because these settlements use MYOB’s system matching for online payment settlement transactions, rather than the usual bank transaction rule setting.
If the match doesn’t look right, you can unmatch it in Banking and then review it manually.
