Bankfeeds defaulting to closed bank account

Hi all,

We changed bank account several months ago. All of the old bank accounts have been marked inactive. The old bankfeeds are also disconnected.

Yet, when I first open bankfeeds, it still defaults to the old main account. Once I click on the drop down arrow, the correct/current bank accounts appear (and the old one cannot even be chosen). The bankfeeds are working just fine - this is just an annoying "problem" because I have to make two extra clicks before the correct bankfeeds appear :D

I have been googling for months for a solution to make Myob default to the current main bank account. Any suggestions which setting I may be overlooking?

Thank you x

    Hi Doreen

Thank you for your message. You are now the third moderator (after Princess and Earl) to suggest the same text book solution to me. I've provided multiple screen shots in the past showing without a doubt that the bank account in question was marked inactive. It could not be deleted because it had transactions in the past.

I was told the issue had been "escalated" but never got a reply in the 7+ months I've been waiting.

I have since closed our Myob file and started a new one. I no longer need a solution.

    Kind regards,
    Dana

    Hi scatad,

Thanks for your post. If the account has previously received bank transactions, it cannot be deleted to maintain past data integrity. However, you can modify the associated AccountRight account's number or name to make it stand out when selecting from the drop-down menu, minimizing confusion. And also, for closed bank accounts, you have the option to cancel the associated bank feeds. Managing your bank accounts

I also have the same problem.  Yes, the account has been marked inactive.  The bank feed has also been cancelled through the Banking Hub in the browser version, yet it still sits as 'Active' within the Manage Bank Accounts area in the Bank Feeds.  And you obviously can't delete it from within Manage Bank Accounts in the desktop version as it has had transactions recorded against it.  Sooooo how to get rid of it??  And the answer shouldn't just be to change the account number so that it bumps down the list.
