Import of General Journal - Job code not uploading

Hi,   Everything is correct in uploading the journal except for the job code not coming up. No advise of error why job code is not showing. I have also used the exact format of MYOB fro importing. ...

    Hi ajalibudbud , I think you are importing as general journals,  but the file format you are using is for transaction journals.  Can you try using the transaction journal import option and see if the result is what you want.

     

    One difference is that there are no GST codes in the transaction journal import, so those journals will not appear on GST reports. 

     

    If you would rather use general journal import, you will need to change the file format. Entering a general journal and exporting it will show you the right format.

Hi ajalibudbud without seeing the picture you posted (because a moderator needs to approve it first), can you attach the actual text file that you are trying to import, or at least a selection of it, eg the first n lines. Then we may be able to assist you.

      Hi ajalibudbud , have you checked the import log? Were there any warnings created? 

       

      Do the job numbers already exist in your file (they need to be there before the import is run)?

        YEs these job codes currently exist in the MYOB.

         

        See attached for the import log from MYOB.
