Hi KarenBian,
Thanks for sharing the detail. That error usually comes up when the tax amount in the import file doesn’t exactly match what AccountRight calculates from the amount and tax code.
For a $110.00 GST-inclusive Receive Money transaction in Australia, the usual values would be:
- Deposit/Cash amount: $110.00
- Income line amount: $100.00
- GST amount: $10.00
- Tax code: GST
So if the income line is being imported as $110.00 with GST on top, AccountRight can read that as unbalanced and return Error -19. A couple of things worth checking:
- Make sure you’re using a Receive Money export from AccountRight as the import template
- Make sure the file includes the curly brackets {} in the header, as missing these can sometimes cause the fields to map incorrectly
- Check that the tax amount in the file exactly matches the GST calculated from the line amount and tax code
If the transaction is meant to be $110.00 total including GST, the income portion should generally be $100.00 and GST should be $10.00, rather than putting the full $110.00 to the income line.
Regards,
Sai
