Invoice Reminders

How do invoice reminders automatically turn off?  They don't turn off when the client pays, it appears you have to manually match the invoice and then the reminders will turn off.  Is that correct? 

Is there a faster way so client don't continue to get reminders, even though they have paid, but you haven't Matched their invoice yet?
