AIM Troubleshooting

I have just started using AIM this financial year and completed the May return with no issue. (I do GST bi-monthly). However when I came to filing for end July, it has automatically taken figures from the last 4 months and there does not seem to be a way to over ride the period.

I have checked that MYOB has the right GST settings, in terms of how often I file and I have also checked that the last finnacial year is closed.

Can anyone shine a light on this for me please?

    Hi LBInteriors,

Thanks for outlining the issue. I understand why the AIM figures can be confusing. AIM returns use running totals from the start of the financial year to the end of the period selected. As a first check, compare the AIM figures with your Profit & Loss report using the same dates and accounting basis, either cash or accrual. If you’ve added transactions since creating the return, select Update from ledger. If the wrong accounting basis was selected, or your AIM settings have changed, delete the return and create it again. It’s also worth checking that all ledger accounts have been mapped to the correct AIM field before lodging. You can find the steps here: Using the AIM provisional tax option

If the figures still don’t agree after these checks, please reach out to our live chat support through our virtual assistant, MOCA, or submit a case via My Account so we can investigate further.

    Regards,

    Sai
