Category list excluding Inactive categories

I would like to run the Category report so that it only shows Active Categories.  The default is that all Categories are shown.  When I select The Categories button at the top of the page I get the Select Categories dialog box.  Each category has a checkbox and there is also a checkbox for Show Inactive.  If I turn off this checkbox then all the Inactive Categories disappear from the dialog box.  If I then click Apply at the bottom of the dialog box the dialog box closes and I am returned to the previous screen but all the Inactive Categories are still visible.  If I click Reset at the top right of the screen the Inactive Categories are still visible.  What am I doing wrong?

    Hi GaryHHH,

     

    You’re not doing anything wrong here. From what you described, this can happen because inactive categories can still stay selected in the report filter even after they disappear from the list when Show Inactive is turned off. Could you please try this quick workaround:

     

    1. Click Reset filter.
    2. Go back to Report Options > Categories.
    3. Toggle Show Inactive on, then off again.
    4. Click Apply, then run the report again.

     

    That extra toggle usually clears the inactive categories fully from the report selection. Just for reference, inactive categories are meant to be removed from some selection lists and won’t appear in some reports unless the report includes a Show inactive option.   • What you suggested above didn't work, although I'm not not sure what No.4 entails exactly.  There is no Refresh button on the screen so I clicked Back to Reports and selected the Categories report again.  Nothing had changed, ie the Inactive Categories were still there.

    Hi GaryHHH

     

    Looks like those inactive accounts are still playing up.

     

    Best bet from here is to get in touch with our support team so they can take a closer look at why it keeps resetting after the Show inactive changes. You can do that by raising a ticket through My Account or jumping on live chat with MOCA,our virtual assistant.
