I get why this can be confusing. The desktop version and browser version handle recurring transactions a bit differently.
In MYOB Business, a recurring general journal works like a template. If you open it and change the date or memo, it updates the template instead of creating a new month’s journal.
If you want it to stop repeating, open the recurring transaction and set the frequency to Never, or delete it.
If you need a separate journal each month, let the recurring transaction create the new entry instead of editing the template.
