Bank feed has not link to bank account

Hello,

We hope someone can assist. We have a large number of unallocated transactions that aren't linked to the bank account. The bank feed works, however we are unable to link the account to the feed. When we attempt to link we receive the following:

"You can't change the linked account because there are approved matches against it. You'll need to undo these approvals before you can change the linked account."

Help would be greatly Appreciated

Upon checking on your account, it shows that the bank feed was canceled. in this regard, once you have canceled a bank feed, you will need to re-apply and re-send the application form before you can receive bank feeds on this account again. This process can take up to ten business days. For more information, you can check out this Help Article: Managing your bank feeds.

    Hi robertGF,

Thank you so much for your post and welcome to the Community Forum!

My apologies for the late response.  The linked account option for a bank feed corresponds to the MYOB Essentials/Business account that represents those transactions. For instance, if you have a bank feed set up for your primary bank account, you should designate your main bank account in MYOB Essentials as the linked account.

If the linked account field appears blank, and you cannot find the desired account in the list, please follow these steps:

    1. Go to your Business Name Menu (located at the top right).
    2. Choose "Accounts" and then "Account Lists."
    3. Verify that the specific account you intend to link is categorized as "Bank" if it's a bank feed or as "Credit Card" if it's for a credit card account.

It's important to note that MYOB Essentials/Business can only be linked to one bank feed. In other words, you cannot set up the same MYOB Essentials account as the linked account for two different bank feeds.

Please do let me know how you go on this.
    Regards,
    Earl

    Hi robertGF,

    • Thank you for your answer.

We use MYOB Business Pro online and your instructions don't match the UI. I did go into Linked Accounts through the Accounting menu tab and set Sales, Purchasing and Payroll to out bank. I'm hoping this will fix the problem??? We have cancelled the bank feed for the tome being.

Now we need to deal with the unallocated transactions. How do we fix these so they link to the bank account? At this stage we are unable to do anything with the transactions, they seem to be locked.

      Can you assist?

      Thank you

      Rob
