Customer Overpayment and Refund

Hi, I have a few messy transactions that I would like some help with.  I had a customer overpay an invoice by $275. However when we refunded the customer we accidentally refunded $2750, so to fix...

Hi Sai,

Thankyou for this however because our refund $2750 was higher than the customer overpayment it will not let me apply it against the overpayment. Can you please assist with how i treat the  $2750 and $2475

Hi CarmenT, 

 

It might be best to get help from an accountant to record this properly since recording it in different ways can affect your file differently.
