Hi Jemar,
This article doesnt help my scenario.
I have a starting balance that has just appeared out of nowhere.
I have had this issue on one of my other clients and MYOB contacted me through this forum to fix it for me.

I understand you are trying to make sure that the opening balance is removed from your reconciliation screen for this account. I recommend following the steps outlined in this thread.
