We run the analyse inventory report details stock on hand, on order, etc., but this report does not pick up the autobuild items that form part of the parent product. It only picks up the parent product, which is of no value as it is created from the autobuild items.
As a result, we can get no information on stock on hand, on order, etc, for the items that make up the autobuild.
Is there anyway to obtain this information? Thanks, Chris
Hi MF5 , we create custom reports of all kinds for our clients. In early 2023, the API items endpoint was extended to include autobuild data, and we have since developed a full component breakdown of sales of assembled products (with sub-assemblies) for a given period.
We can go on to create reports such as:
- the component breakdown of sales orders on hand
- where is a particular component used
- the component breakdown of planned production.

For MYOB Business there are limited reports compared to AccountRight. As AccountRight has a report called Auto-Build Items report which shows both the sub-assembly items and the average cost of each build item, this report is not yet in Business. But rest assured our developer's goal is to make MYOB Business as close as the desktop version of AccountRight and we will raise this as a suggestion.
