Recurring transactions

I'm using MYOB lite cloud version.

I issue monthly rental invoices and the recurring invoice template used to upgrade with the month I was posting for now they do not update with the current information or month. In the previous AccountRight desktop version it would update the recurring transaction.

This was very helpful cause you could check the template and know what month you had already issued an invoice for....can this be fixed so that it updates the recurring template with the most recent information?

    Hi AloutMAIN,

Thanks for explaining how you use the template for your monthly rental invoices. I can see how having the month carry forward made it easier to keep track of which invoices you’d already issued.

In MYOB Business Lite, changing an invoice after prefilling it from a recurring template only changes that invoice, not the saved template. To update what comes through next time:

    1. Go to Banking > Recurring transactions.
    2. Open the template, update the invoice details or date, then save it.

If you’d prefer invoices to be created automatically, you can set the template to a monthly schedule. More info on recurring transactions.

  • Hi Genreve

Thank you for your suggestion, that is a lot of work to be using the recurring transaction to raise the invoice with new month details and notes then going back into the recurring transaction to update it every time...this doesn't make sense to me.

Why not make the system update the recurring transactions just like the other version and be more efficient?

    Hi AloutMAIN

I can see why having to update the recurring transaction each month would feel like extra work.
