Decimal places in hourly rate on payslips

HI

Just wondering if anyone knows how to reduce the number of decimal places on a payslip? I saw a post from 2 years ago where the MYOB representative said that the development team were aware of the issue and looking in to it, but yet it still seems to be the case?

    Hi Frank0717

I get how having more than 2 decimal places can make the payslips look a bit messy.

The hourly base rate is stored with  2 decimal places, but when you use multipliers (like 1.5x or 2x), the software does the maths in the background with extra decimal places and then rounds the dollar amount on the pay line. That’s why you might see the rate look a bit “odd”, even though the total pay is still correct.

There’s no setting at the moment to force those calculated rates to show only 2 decimals on the payslip; it’s already been raised with the product team as a rounding/display improvement. If you do need a clean 2‑decimal rate to show, the workaround is to use a fixed hourly rate on those penalty categories and/or just check the total on the line and override it so the gross pay is spot on.
