The software ID from the ATO settings under Payroll Settings in STP reporting is different to the software ID when trying to set up the "Prepare BAS or IAS". I am then getting the error: SBR.GEN.AU...

Thank you for your post.
Typically, the software ID would be different as they are two different services. However, if you are a BAS Agent you would have your own unique software ID that is connected to your RAN and ABN. If you are lodging on behalf of your clients you would need to use your own software ID.
