Missing timesheet hours

Hallo - I have used MYOB for years so do know what I am doing.

We run from Wednesdays to Tuesday and do a pay run on Wednesday for the previous week,

This week some of my employees reported that they had been short paid.

I assumed that I must have left hours off the timesheets.

However when I checked the hours were showing for each day - except the hours for Wednesday were still in bold and the other days were greyed out.

So I thought maybe I had put the wrong dates in for the pay run - but they were correct too on the pay remittance - showing pay hours being 8th until 14th January - except the hours worked on the 8th did not get calculated in the actual pay run.

I would not unduly worry about this - my employees told me - I fixed the problem - however we now have new legislation that could see me go to jail for short payment - that would not impress me.

So MYOB - what is going on - I recall this happening once before and it seemed to be something mysterious has happened.

With our new legislation it is something that needs to be fixed pronto.

    Hi Tina1959,

Thanks for sticking with us for so long! Generally, the hours worked on the 8th that weren't calculated and are still in bold are due to when the pay period dates during payroll processing don't match the timesheet dates. To fix this, make sure your payroll settings and timesheet dates align with your pay frequency when processing pay. For more details, check out this article.

If everything looks good but the pay run still isn't including all the timesheet hours, we might need to dig a bit deeper. Our support team can help you out with this! You can chat with them live via our virtual assistant MOCA or submit a support ticket through MyAccount.

    Cheers,

    Princess

    Hi Princess,

Thanks for getting back but as you can see I did put in the correct dates as per the initial post - as mentioned I have been doing this for about 20 years.

"So I thought maybe I had put the wrong dates in for the pay run - but they were correct too on the pay remittance - showing pay hours being 8th until 14th January - except the hours worked on the 8th did not get calculated in the actual pay run."

I do not like your virtual assistant - it can only answers questions that are obvious so is basically useless so I will put in a support ticket.
