MYOB Business Payroll Only to MYOB Business PRO

I was using MYOB Business Payroll for a couple of pay runs, but after two weeks, I created a new account for MYOB Business PRO. Now I have two separate accounts with different serial numbers. How can...

Hey ajc_care,

 

There is no option to merge or migrate two files directly. However, you can zero out the pay history in MYOB Payroll, send an update event, and then finalise it with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). Here’s what you can do:

 

  • Zero Out Pay History: In MYOB Payroll, zero out the pay history. Make sure to take note of the figures from the pay history as you will need to re-enter them later.
  • Send Update Event: After zeroing out the pay history, send an update event to the ATO.
  • Finalise with ATO: Finalize the update with the ATO.
  • Re-enter Data in MYOB Business Pro: Re-enter the noted figures into MYOB Business Pro.

Hi Doreen

Thank you for your response. Those payroll transactions in my MYOB Payroll Only occurred and were recorded last financial year so I have already finalised the STP. I have finalised STP for both (Payroll Only and Business PRO).

Can I still do your recommendation?

    Hi ajc_care,

     

    Yes, you can definitely do that! However, please ensure that you only transfer the figures from the current payroll year and avoid including any data from the previous payroll year.
