I have this message coming up for an employee but have checked all their details and they are correct. What next?

    Hi Viv7,

Sorry for the late reply. The next thing to check is the member number rule for the specific Colonial product tied to that fund. Even when the fund details look correct, Pay Super can still show this error when the member number prefix doesn’t match the Colonial product selected. Here’s the rule set to check against:

    • Colonial First State - FirstChoice Wholesale Super should start with 011
    • Colonial First State - Rollover and Superannuation Fund should start with 060
    • Colonial First State - FirstChoice Personal Super should start with 010
    • Colonial First State - FirstChoice Employer Super-Employer Superannuation Fund should start with 065

It’s also worth watching for an extra zero at the front. So if the member number starts with something like 0010 or 0065, it may need that first extra zero removed so the prefix matches the expected format. If Colonial has confirmed everything and it’s still not going through after checking the prefix, it’d be best to reach out to our support team so they can take a closer look behind the scenes. You can contact them via the Contact Us page.

    Cheers,

    Doreen
