Can't save recurring sales with blank lines

Hello MYOB

There seems to be an issue with MYOB online version whereby I can't save an invoice as recurring when the invoice includes a blank line. Seeing as there is no option to create headers anymore I read that a blank line needs to be created but the blank line needs a category and gst option in order to save the invoice as recurring otherwise an error appears. This kind of defeats the purpose of using a blank line as a heading? Will you be including headings in the future? Or are we going with blank lines? When the invoice lines are grouped together it makes it difficult to read on the screen with zero amount lines.

    Hi Lisa_BBP

I understand how blank lines are important for categorizing your invoice line items. Currently, this feature is not available for while creating recurring transactions. I believe it's best to post this in the Ideas Exchange board to give the development team better visibility on this idea.

In the meantime, feel free to create a new thread if you need any other help.

    Thanks,
    Genreve

Hi this issue has still not been resolved. how long does it normally take to resolve such an important issue. there are so many useless things that have been created in myob business, most of which are not helpfull , but to not be able to create a recurring invoice is crazy. Error says you must have a value and tax code in each line , what if you want a blank line for a heading ?

        Hi DT66,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts about not being able to add blank lines to recurring transactions in our browser software. I totally hear you, this is something you can do in the desktop version, but it’s just not a feature in the online version at the moment.

The main reason it’s missing this feature, the development team prioritize what most users show interest on. That’s why I suggested posting the idea on our Ideas Exchange board, so other folks who want the same feature can vote for it and help show it’s important to users. There isn’t currently a post for this on the board, but you’re more than welcome to add one.

        Regards,
