Customer activity in assist

Why would myob bring out an app (assist) that removes such a vital function, ie: the ability to check customer actions on your invoice correspondence?

Yes you can log in on your browser, but that's not efficient. If I am required to go through the process and inconvenience of logging in and navigating the web version, then that would rule out the need to also log into the assist app to create an invoice. It's double handling. I may as bloody well create an invoice whilst I'm there.

Myob are obviously not in touch with what users actually need. Stupidity at it finest, or am I missing something?

    Thanks for calling this out, you’re definitely not the only one who’s been using invoice activity.
     

    Right now, the MYOB Assist app doesn’t include the full invoice activity timeline (opened/viewed/sent status) in-app. It’s been designed as a more streamlined, mobile-first tool for creating and sending invoices and capturing receipts, so some of the “deeper” detail still lives in the browser version of MYOB Business / AccountRight online instead, and we are continuing to grow the functionality of the app for invoicing.
     

    You can still see full activity for an invoice by signing in via your browser and opening the invoice there – that’s where you’ll get the detailed status history at the moment.

    Hi Earl,

    Thanks for the clarification.

    I get the idea behind a streamlined mobile app, but removing the ability to see invoice activity doesn’t simplify anything, it just shifts the job elsewhere.

    Now I have to use both the app and the browser to do what used to be one workflow. That’s not streamlining, it’s extra steps.

    At that point, the app becomes redundant, because the browser already does everything in one place.

    Right now, this feels like a step backwards.
