So Amanda - MYOB decided for us - all those users who were satisfied with the "performance standard" for their particular business now have no say in the matter. All those V19 and earlier or current version loyal customers who bought and have used your product for years and years.
Your online back-up policy isn't clear either - please clarify i.e. if I select online backups
then once a day I choose offline backup and when done switch back to online backup - do I get both

Each week, MYOB automatically backs up online company files that have had changes in the previous 7 days so you can relax knowing we're saving regular point-in-time versions of your online company file that you can roll back to if needed. You can also manually create online backups whenever you like and name them appropriately. These will be accessible along with the automatically created ones. More information on backing up your file can be found on this page.

Offline Backups being removed was not communicated in the memo about offline access being removed.
- Does this mean if I have an offline backup from a year again I will not be able to restore it online after 17 Jun 2026?
- Please confirm the option to make offline backups is being removed after 17 Jun (ie the option will disappear in the settings)
- Do Manual online backups get removed after 6 months?
I hope MYOB has a 3-2-1 backup strategy with their whole cloud service as now I cannot do that with our accounting data.

From 17 June 2026, offline mode will no longer be available for MYOB AccountRight desktop. Future releases will only work with company files stored online.
You can also manually create online backups whenever you like, and these will be accessible along with the automatically created ones. Online backups are stored securely in the cloud for the 6 months. More information on this page.
Your file could be restored online if it needs to be accessed for viewing purposes. The data is still contained in the offline backup, but you would no longer be able to access this offline, even as read only. If you have a previous backup file to view, you'd need to take an online backup of your current file. Once done you'll be able to restore an older backup over the top of your live file. After you've finished retrieving information from the older backup, you can restore your current file back to your online environment.
