MYOB Team App for timesheets

Hi,

We are thinking of using the MYOB Team App for our employees to submit weekly timesheets and have a number of queries i can not find answers to.

As some background, we are a labour-hire company with employees based fully at a client site.  They submit weekly timesheets which are approved by the client before the payroll is processed

1 - Our employees generally do the same hours every day  - On testing i had to enter times one day at a time which seemed slow -   Is it possible to set it up default start / end times to appear  for each day and be able to submit as a weekly timesheet rather than one day at a time.

2 - Can timesheets be sent to external clients managers to approve since they are not our employees?  and also can what  (if any) personal information can timesheets approvers see?

Really keen to make this work but not yet convinced it's appropriate for our company.

Any advice appreciated

Thanks

Kate

  • Hi KateB2012,

It’s really cool that you’re weighing up options to help your people out. MYOB Team App doesn’t automatically fill in start and end times for each day, so staff will have to manually clock on and off when submitting daily timesheets.

If you want your external client managers to use the MYOB Team App and approve timesheets, you’ll need to add them as employees first. Once they’re added, they’ll only be able to see info and do actions within the app itself, nothing outside of it. No stress, though, everything you need to get started with the app is right here.

    Cheers,

    Thanks Princess for your reply.

So just to clarify it's not possible to fill out a whole week's times and submit just once.  Each day has to be filled out and submitted separately?

Also the system can not "remember" default start / end times for employees who normally work same hours each week, and would only need adjusting on the odd occasion?

    Thanks

    Hi KateB2012,

Yes, that's correct. With MYOB Team, employees need to enter and submit their timesheets daily, rather than submitting a full week in one go. The system also doesn't store default start and finish times, so hours will need to be entered each day. If staff usually work the same hours, they'll just need to pop those in manually, and then make adjustments on the odd days that differ.
