Hi Cel
I still do not understand - there is no option for adding a break like both you and the help article you sent me state. Perhaps it would help to share a scnreeshot of the timesheet the staff are seeing - please see atatched. You will note there is date, a start time, end time and then total hours are calculated. there is a field to add a job and comments,. But no mention of breaks. I'm confused as the other store can add breaks ut the set up appears to be the same. Can you see anything on atatched that may give you any clue what the issue is?

Hi, i have the same problem and this does not solveit, pls advise how to have breaks in the app. it always comes up as add activity.
- ShannonS2 years agoContributing Cover User
Thanks for the response Earl - problem is, many of us aren't getting that option unless we turn off job-tracking on timesheets....

Hi Cel. No I haven't resolved this yet.
See attached screenshot of the settings. Its currently set to payroll, but I believe when my colleague set it up she may have had it set to 'time billing and payroll' instead of just payroll for the last tick box. We dont use jobs, only submitting timesheets wiht start, end time and breaks. I believe this may have been edited to 'payroll' after setup was complete and just assumed it would refresh once changed.
If this is affecting the timesheet function - How do I reset this in that case? When I go onto MYOB team in the web browser (using my login) I can add timesheets with breaks for them no problem. But when the staff logon in the app - they an only add activity
Thanks again

Hi KellyC1
I'm sorry to hear that you're still having this issue, I appreciate your patience in getting back to us and providing an update on this.
Have you tried to check the capture type on the location where your employee has to put up? If you want to utilize kiosk, your employee can punch during breaks you can choose tablet or phone.
Can you try to please follow this steps:
- In the MYOB Team Admin portal, click the location tab.
- Click Create location. The create location page appears.
- Enter the location name and address
- Select a Time Capture type. The options you're given are based on the timesheet preference you set in AccountRight
* Clock on, Clock off mobile: for business whose employees will use their mobile device to capture and prove attendance with high accuracy.
* Clock on, Clock off - table kiosk: For businesses with a fixed location and an emphasis on capturing and proving attendance with high accuracy on a Kiosk tablet.
* Timesheets (payroll only): Employees use their mobile device to record their time restrospectively (i.e at end of day or week) and the businesses has lower emphasis on proving attendance.
* Timesheets (payroll and time billing) : as above but for businesses who also wish to capture employees time for time billing purposes.
You can also set up new location with the correct time capture type.
Let me know how you go. If you need further assistance with this, I'm happy to assist.

Hi Cel.
Attached is what is currently sitting under this location. It appears to already be set for the correct time capture option - timesheets - does it not? We do not need payroll and timebilling - only payroll. Staff are to enter their hours via the moble app and this is then approved by approving manager.
Note - They do not want kiosk as they dont want the added expense of purchasing a tablet for each store to do this.
Shall I try to add the location again - as it is?

Hi KellyC1
We appreciate your patience on this issue. And thank you for responding to us and providing updates on the issue.
I understand Kelly, your employees have the option not to use the Kiosk that is only one of the options. The best recommendation for this is to check on the capture type at the location where your employee has to put it up. or you can add the location again.
I hope this works, Please feel free to reply on this post if you need further assistance with this. I'm happy to assist.

Hi asguazz
Thanks for your post
In this regard, if your employees are using the MYOB Team App to record their times logged in, there will be an option to start break and end break. Kindly check the Time Capture type from their set-up location. To know further regarding this, you may check The Help Article Using the MYOB Team mobile app.
Let us know if you need further assistance with this. We're happy to assist you.
Kind Regards,
Cel

I am having a similar problem. We have several locations set up and all locations except one allow you to enter timesheet details including breaks. One location only allows activity details to be entered. I can't find anything different in how customer has been set up. I tried making the location inactive and then setting up a new location but that only let me enter activity as well. I set up a dummy loaction and it allows me to enter timesheets. UPDATE: Setting up Location again appears to have rectified the issue

We are also having the same issue with multiple client files unable to added breaks in the app.
As far as we can tell, the app is asking employess to create activities rather than timesheets.
In location settings, we dont get any other option for Time Capture type other than 'Timesheets'. The settings in AccountRight (desktop) are Timesheets (payroll and time billing).
You can access the timesheets settings in AccountRight (desktop). Setup > Preferences > System. The same setting cannot be access in the browser version of MYOB.
If you choose 'I use timesheets for Payroll' you're giving the option in the Teams app to add breaks.
If you choose 'I use timesheets for Time Billing and Payroll' you're not given the option to add breaks. Employees are required by law to have breaks and these breaks MUST be recorded on timesheets. Why are those users who use job costing not able to record their employees breaks?

Hi ALL,
Thanks for reaching out and my apologies for the late response. To record a break in your MYOB Team app, you'll need the Admin or Owner of the business to adjust the time capture type via the MYOB Team Admin Portal. They can switch it to "Clock on/clock off," enabling employees to input their Start and End break times. For more details on this matter, please refer to the Help Articles: "Using the MYOB Team mobile app" and "Getting started with MYOB Team."
Please do let me know how you go on this.

There appears to have been a glitch somewhere. I had several locations with the same setup but one wasn't allowing breaks. I set up the location a second time and it worked.

Hi shannons,
We're aware of this issue, and for now, the current workaround involves setting up the location again. We've escalated this to the appropriate team for a permanent solution. While we don't have an exact timeframe for the resolution, rest assured that our development team is actively addressing it for inclusion in a future update.
Feel free to post again, we're happy to help!
