Forum Discussion
Hi livmors,
I can see how having old customer and stock records in your system can make searching more time-consuming. It doesn't allow the permanent deletion of customers or stock items if there is any transaction history associated with them. This is because it maintains a log history for compliance and audit purposes.
Instead of deleting, you can mark customers and stock items as inactive, so they no longer appear in searches unless specifically filtered for. This helps declutter your records without losing historical data. Deactivating and reactivating a customer or supplier and Deactivating and reactivating items can guide you through the steps to deactivate them.

Sai
Good Morning Sai
We do inactivate the cards we have 21,000 on file
We need to search the whole file as sometimes when we go to trade fairs the old customers come in as New customers so we have to always search for
- If they are existing
- If we have other customers in the area we want to search via postcode
Even with refined searches it is looking via postcode or suburb takes so long to load.
