ACE Payroll

I need to add an additional week of annual leave entitlement to a couple of employees.  How do I backdate this so that the entitlement starts from a couple of months ago, and how does this affect the ongoing calculations if the increased entitlement is a different date to their anniversary date for leave calculations i.e. I need to increase the annual entitlement to 5 weeks going forward, but also backdate when the annual entitlement dates back to.

    Hi LeanneW1,

Backdating makes the update a bit trickier, but here’s the simple path.

    • To bump annual leave to 5 weeks: go Employee > Modify Employee Details > Leave > Holiday Pay, change Calculation Method to Annual Leave Entitlement (or Annual Leave Custom), set weeks to 5, and make sure Days worked each week matches their current pattern. From there, leave will accrue at 5 weeks per year.
    • To backdate the change: work out the extra leave they would’ve built up from your chosen effective date to today, then add that as a one‑off leave adjustment for each employee.

If you need a reference point for this, you can open this link

    Cheers,
