IRD Automated Posting

On finalizing the Pays each week why does MYOB not send straight to the IRD for filing. From a accounting task once finalized it means the Company has accepted that the pays are right. The system should be set up to send straight to the bank and IRD

 

MYOB creates a wage file which the Company  than goes and sends to the bank. MYOB creates a IRD file why does it not automatically go to the IRD. This is a weekly procedure and if you pay on Tuesday and you do not file by Thursday there is the potential to have a fine from IRD of $250.00 each time you are late.

    Hi HybridCB 

     

    The MYOB Payroll (Desktop) product will generate EI files that can be uploaded to the IRD for Payday filing. Our NZ Payroll product like MYOB Essentials will do direct Payday filing with the IRD.

    To my knowledge, there are currently no plans to update the MYOB Payroll (Desktop) application to allow that direct filing, only file creation. In saying that, the focus is on our MYOB Essentials offering and boosting that with additional features so that users can look at moving to that platform to get those new features and other existing benefits such as Payday filing.
