MYOB Payroll - Timesheet upload integration help?

Hi all, We use "MYOB Business Payroll Only" at the moment and there's few things i can't figure out or I don't think it supports. So i need to figure out the right version for us. 

1. What version of MYOB can I upload timesheet data into? The various help docs on the site only say to 'turn on timesheets' but nothing about which versions you can do this in - and i can't find it in my version. We use Guardhouse for our timesheets - staff clock in/out there - and that says it produces an MYOB compatible timesheet report but i can't determine what version of MYOB it can be uploaded to.

2. Is there a version of MYOB that I can separate annual leave cash outs so we can keep these tracked? As we often have staff asking to cash out their 1 weeks limit per year, but I have to manually keep record of this and dates it was done at the moment.

3. Is there a version of MYOB where it easily tells me the dates alt/lieu days are earned (instead of having to run a report and do manual calculations) so I can determine when they are eligible to be paid out?

4. Is there a version of MYOB where it can report all MOJ/IRD/MSD fines/payments/deductions? At the moment this only reports Court Fines and Child Support - but if staff get IRD repayment notices, or MSD repayment notices it's all manual not done in here

5. Is there a version of MYOB where I can have it track the '6 month test' for casual staff, when it comes to sick leave and bereavement leave entitlements? As in NZ they have to work a certain number of days/hours within a continuous 6 month period before they are entitled to this, and having to manually track and calculate that for our large casual work force is really difficult. 

6. Is there a version of MYOB where staff can view their leave balances without having to wait to receive their payslips? It's tracked through our MYOB at this is our pay system, so it's not also in Guardhouse incase the 2 ever don't match up for whatever reason. So staff can only currently see their balance on the bottom of their payslips. 

7. Is there a way for / version of MYOB that will somehow mark/alert public holidays when processing pay runs? To ensure the public holiday loading has been applied.

    I can see that you’re currently using MYOB Business Payroll Only and the timesheet upload/integration bits aren’t doing what you need; happy to help you pick the version that’ll suit your crew.
     

    • Upload timesheets (NZ):
      Business Payroll Only — Not via import; use MYOB Team. Advanced WFM — Yes (native timesheets/ESS).
    • Cash‑up annual leave:
      Business Payroll — Supported via “Cash up annual leave” pay item; observe one‑week legal limit. Advanced Payroll — Supported via entitlements/pay items and reporting.
    • Alt/lieu days earned dates:
      Desktop Payroll — tracked in Leave Details (Alternative Holidays Due). Business Payroll — audit via Pay item transactions. Advanced Payroll — configurable entitlement balances + reporting.
    • MOJ/IRD/MSD deductions:
      Business Payroll — Child Support supported (use default type). Desktop Payroll — IRD arrears, Court Fines, WINZ supported in Compulsory Deductions. Advanced Payroll — map deductions to suppliers/GL for cleaner reporting.
    • Six‑month test:
      Business Payroll — automatic entitlement readiness prompts. Desktop Payroll — six‑month sick leave anniversary tracked. Advanced Payroll — rules‑driven entitlements.
    • Staff view leave balances:
      Business Payroll + Team — Team app doesn’t show leave balances/requests. Advanced WFM + Payroll — ESS shows balances and supports leave requests.
    • Public holiday loading/alerts:
      Business Payroll — manual PH earnings selection; no auto-alert. Ace Payroll — dedicated PH functions; T1.5 + alt day. Advanced Payroll — entitlements for PH/alt leave with ESS/reporting.

     

    Best bet: with Guardhouse, ESS leave visibility, alt‑day/gov‑deduction tracking, and a big casual crew, go MYOB Advanced Workforce Management + MYOB Advanced Payroll (NZ) for integrated timesheets, ESS, configurable entitlements, and solid compliance; if you’re at big scale, consider MYOB Pay Global (NZ); if sticking with Business Payroll Only (NZ), use MYOB Team (no import), cap Cash‑up Annual Leave at one week, audit alt days via pay‑item transactions, use default Child Support type, rely on sick‑leave prompts, and enter public‑holiday earnings manually.
