Accrued leave

An employee resigned as of 9 May. The last pay slip shows nil balance of annual holiday

leave, however, estimated leave in advance ( leave earned from anniversary 15 Jan to 9 May) shows 25.70 hours.   How is this leave calculated  to be paid out.

Thank you

    Hi Nem0D0ry ,

    Thanks for your post.

This can be quite tricky. The estimated leave in advance in MYOB Essentials is similar to the "Estimated leave accrued since anniversary" feature. However, in MYOB Business, it is recalculated to display in weeks based on the current date and the last anniversary date.

Since the employee hasn't completed one year yet, you'll need to pay the estimated leave in advance, which will appear as 8% of the gross earnings during the final pay.

Feel free to post again, we're happy to help!

    Regards,
    Earl
