Deleting obsolete inventory items

Hi,

 

I have some obsolete inventory items that had transactions attached to them more than 5 years ago. Is there any way to get rid of this history so that the items can be deleted?

    Hi Ivy12 

    The old inventory items cannot be deleted if they have been used in a transaction before, but you can inactivate them and add zzz in the beginning of their names so they are pushed at the end of the inventory drop down list. This would make selection of items easier.

      Thanks for your response Komal_S I really want to get rid of these items that we will never be using again.

        Hi Ivy12 


        Whereas it's not directly possible in AccountRight, you can look at third party apps that offer it or choose to start a new company file by exporting and importing the required data. We do apologise for the inconvenience caused due to this.
