You are able to remove unlinked documents from the In Tray, When selecting a document there should be a delete button you can select across the top of that window.
I have attached a Help Article on working with in tray documents for reference.

That is not what I meant. I mean the myob entries from the pre-conversion. They are listed since 2015. So everytime I want to link a document I have thousands to go through.

I can see in the screenshot you attached you have the show closed bills option ticked, this would be why all the closed ones from 2016 are showing as well.
If you untick this option your open ones should be listed and be a much shorter list. Make sure when you untick that you click the green refresh button to update the list.

thanks for replying. That is not the problem. I understand how it works. I need to access the closed documents so I can link bills to them. I need to get rid of all the old bills in the list from the pre-conversion. As you can see they are from 2015. Thats 7 years of bills I have to go through.
