PayID instead of BSB/ Acount Details on Sales Invoice

Just lately there seems to be even more instances of Sale invoice pdfs attached to emails being intercepted by scammers, the pdf payment details changed (BSB and Account Details changed) and the email resent to the unsuspecting client.

Is there any thought on PayIDs being added to the payment details of a sale in lieu of BSB/Account numbers or as an option in banking details on a Client Card.

As I understand a Banking ID can only relate to 1 BSB/Account No and is conected by either a mobile no / email address or abn number ( in the case of a business) All of these details are normally on a sales invoice for the payee to check th authenticity of an invoice.

Would it even work or are there other issues ?

Cheers

LC

  • Hi Riverview13

    Thank you for your feedback.

While we do see value in PayID, to my knowledge, it is not something that we are looking at implementing in our products in the immediate future. We are more focusing on more secure direct methods of payment for our customers through the means of Online Invoice Payments.

    Hi Riverview13 ,

We've had our PayID included on our Invoices for more than a year, couldn't tell whether anyone has made payment via that method or not but figured it's there if they want (better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it).
