Recording Shopify Fees

Hi, I have seen messages in regards to creating a clearing account for shopify as a bank account. 

 

However it did not make sense to me. 

 

What is the best way to record shopify fees. I receive payouts daily (not vey many at this stage) less the shopify fee obviously. If I record the full payment into the shopify clearing account, then how do I record the payment into the actual bank account. 

 

There is no real invoice to apply the actual shopify fee to. Looking for the best solution to this.

    Thanks for posting your concern in the forum. 

     

    I understand you are just trying to find the best way to record your Shopify payments. In my understanding, how you record your Shopify payments will depend on your preferences. But if you already recorded the Shopify payments in a clearing account, you could do a Transfer Money transaction to move the Shopify payments from the clearing account to the correct bank account in the ledger. Also, I would suggest following what other users who use Shopify did to record their payments.
