Refunds

Hi, I feel like this is an easy one but I just can't get it...

We create a sale and add a payment from customer as a deposit payment.

Customer cancels sale, we refund the deposit.

The sale still exists as there is a payment applied to it.

The bank feed now has a negative amount as we have returned the deposit. 

How do I get this to all balance?

    Hi SBC1

     

    I get that you need some clarification on reversing invoices with deposits. Typically, if an invoice is canceled, you'll need to reverse it, which will create a credit note if you have a deposit. You can find this in the "Returns and Credit" tab of the sales register and either refund it or apply it to another sale.
