ATO error code: CMN.ATO.PAYEVNT.000199 when trying to run a void pay to add sick leave entitlement hours

Hello,

Trying to add sick leave entitlement hours via a void payrun for one employee.

Have not had any previous issues when performing this action.

BUT today, comes up with an error:

The date entered for Pay/Update Date must not be later than today's date (ATO error code: CMN.ATO.PAYEVNT.000199)

No other issues when doing pays on Thursday last week, so not sure why this is happening...

I have checked payroll details and no issues there

Please help

    Update on this problem....

When I try to process this void pay with only todays date i.e. 31/10/22 to 31/10/22, I get above the error re dates

I have decided to try a different way: I have tried to process the Void pay with dates as 30/10/22 to 31/10/22 and there is no date error and it has been accepted by ATO

So something to do with only using one date possibly.........

As I said, not had an issue with this in the past....what has happened at MYOB end please

  • Hello Basketball

    Thank you for your post.

I'm glad to see that you have managed to get this sorted.

As you are aware CMN.ATO.PAYEVNT.000199 is an error due to the date entered for the pay/update Date must not be later than todays date.

Often we see the computer date set incorrectly which impacts this. So I would suggest double-checking the computer's date and time settings.

The other thing that I will be investigating is if entering the same date, it is picking up the direct time as well so when entering in the time and clicking confirm even though a few seconds have passed it might be picking those up and causing the error.

      Thanks Chris.

Be interested to know if the time issue does make a difference for future reference, thanks for responding
