ATO Payroll Reporting Category - Bonuses & Commissions

I have recently processed a separate payroll run for a bonus payment to an employee.  As directed for STP Phase 2 the ATO reporting category has been changed from Gross Payments to Bonuses and Commissions.  When I have gone to lodge my Instalment Activity Statement for the month STP reporting has included the tax withheld but not the gross payment of the bonus at W1.  Why is this not being included in the W1 Total Salary, Wages and Other Payments figure?

    Hi CMM,

     

    You can send an update event to ensure the correct figures show up. This will help include the gross payment of the bonus in the W1 Total Salary, Wages, and Other Payments figure. An update event is essentially a $0 pay run that updates the year-to-date amounts for your employees. This should resolve the issue with the STP reporting not including the gross payment of the bonus at W1.
