How to account for superannuation on an invoice (as a sole trader) that is being paid directly into your super account

Hi,

 

I am about to issue a retainer invoice (as a sole trader) that to includes supperannuation.

It needs to be included on the invoice but I'm not sure how to account for this in MYOB given the supperannuation component will never hit my account,  but will be paid directly into my super account.

    Hi RLS2023 

     

    Thanks for your post. Generally speaking you'd enter a separate line for the super amount. However, I'd recommend speaking to your accountant to ensure the super amount is recorded and reported correctly for your situation.
